ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
The curriculum is aligned with national standards for both state enrolled nursing programme and the bachelors’’ alongside UNIMAK academic requirements. A blend of theory, practical skills, and field experience ensures students graduate as competent and compassionate professionals. Regular assessments, practical evaluations, and community outreach enhance learning outcomes.

Theoretical Training
During each semester, eight weeks are allocated for effective learning at the campus, two weeks of revision and two weeks of examination.

Clinical Training
Students participate in supervised clinical placements at hospitals and health centers within the country. Hospitals such as; St. John of God hospital Lunsar, Holy Spirit hospital, Magbenteh hospital, Makeni Regional hospital all in Makeni, Magburaka Government hospital, Kambia government hospital, Port Loko government hospital, and special training at Connaught Teaching hospital, Ola During’s Teaching hospital and Kissy Mental Teaching hospital all in Freetown. They rotate through departments such as maternity, pediatrics, medical-surgical wards, and public health units. And for special units such as Intensive Care units, Oncological units, Ear Nose and Throats, Ophthalmological unit, dental, psychiatric units etc. A period of twelve to thirteen weeks is allocated for clinical ward placements after each semester exams. The skills lab offers a controlled environment for pre-clinical practice using dummies and equipment that simulate real-life scenarios. Students are trained to uphold high standards of ethics, professionalism, and patient-centered care. The campus also encourages involvement in health campaigns, community service, and research projects aimed at addressing local health challenges.
